If you'd like to see the works of the only woman whose film was nominated in the short film category at the Oscars, you'll want to follow Marianne Farley.  She is a director, producer, and actress from Canada.  Her short film, "Marguerite" is a touching story about the interaction between an elderly woman and her caregiver. 

 

Marguerite, as well as many other critically acclaimed films by lesbian filmmakers, will be shown at the 2019 Cinema Systers Film Festival.
