The Cinema Systers Film Festival is a celebration of lesbian filmmakers and their unique perspectives on the world. This festival is a true labor of love, created by trailblazing individuals who saw a need for a space to showcase the work of lesbian filmmakers after the Women's Music Festival ended. The festival has since grown into a thriving event that highlights the talent and creativity of lesbian filmmakers from around the world.

One of the featured films at this year's Cinema Systers Film Festival is "Her Curve," directed by Stacy Jill Calvert & Jaclyn Chessen. This film tells the story of Jordan, a quirky and queer artist who finds herself falling for her art model. The film promises to be a heartfelt and artistic exploration of love and identity.

Another film to look out for is "JEWELLE: A JUST VISION BY MADELEINE LIM," directed by Madeleine Lim. This film takes viewers on a journey through the life and activism of Jewelle Gomez, a beloved novelist, playwright, and activist. From Black Power in Boston to AIDS activism in New York, Gomez's story is one of resilience, passion, and hope.

"WHAT WE HAVE DONE WHAT WE HAVE LEFT UNDONE," directed by Catherine Crouch, is a powerful exploration of racial history and the impact of racism on a community in Indianapolis. This film combines personal stories with archival footage to paint a complex picture of how racism continues to shape the lives of individuals and communities.

"And They Named Her Love," directed by Onyx Keesha and B. Danielle Watkins, follows the journey of a hopeless romantic painter named Love as she embarks on a cross-country journey to find herself in the artist world. When she meets Atlanta-based songstress Nasada, Love learns that love and business don't always mix.

Other films featured at the Cinema Systers Film Festival include "The Lesbian Lobster Song," "Undefined Spaces," and many more. Each film offers a unique perspective on love, identity, and community, and promises to be a thought-provoking and inspiring showcase of lesbian talent.
